“What if all this time you were waiting on God, He was waiting on you?”
I’ve been ruminating this question since I heard the lovely Jessie Rush Norman say it on the Lajoie Society podcast (highly recommend you give it a listen).
I was listening in the shower, and I mean to tell you, it stopped me mid-lather.
Holy crap!
What if all this time I’ve been waiting on God to pave the road ahead of me, open a door – any door, or straight up take me by the hand and lead me, He’s been waiting on me to get my ish together and realize He’s already given me direction, all I need to do is use the tools He’s given me to get where He wants me to go?
What if all this time I’ve been reassessing and second guessing, He’s been waiting on me to trust Him and just show up?
And what if all this time I’ve been waiting for His go-ahead, He’s been waiting on me to say “I’m willing”?
I one thousand percent believe there are seasons we wait for His call. But I also believe (maybe more often than not) He’s the one waiting – waiting on us to open our hearts, trust Him completely, and follow His lead in the next right step.
Are you waiting on God, or is He waiting on you?
