It was a busy, busy week here on the ranch.
I got a GoPro and used it to capture some of the footage and also wore it around as more of a fashion statement because I forgot to put the memory card back in it… I hauled some mineral, did some lip syncing, and backed a long flatbed trailer into its parking place. I also cooked for a crew of ranchers attending a grazing school. On the menu was Hot Beef Sundaes and a delicious mixed berry crisp turned mixed berry soup.
We moved pairs (a couple times) and pulled the last of the bulls bringing breeding season 2019 to a close. I’m honestly surprised I squeezed all that plus our shenanigans in and kept it under 20 minutes. 🤔😂
PS – You might notice I’m wearing the same shirt on no less than three different days in this video. No, I didn’t wash it. It’s my favorite, so it’s fine.
PPS – We’d love it if you head on over and subscribe to our YouTube channel so you don’t miss out on our shenanigans, a.k.a. our everyday ranch life.
Fellow cattle farmer here in western Oklahoma and I am so excited to find someone who has used garlic in their mineral to control flies. This is something I have been pondering for a while and I’m going to have to try it out next summer. Thanks for you videos! I enjoy seeing how others do things and learning how I can improve our cattle heard.
Thanks for your kind words! The garlic mineral has seemed to help with our fly situation. And, I’m a huge fan of garlic, so I’m not sad about the garlicky smell when I put out mineral. hehe!
