It’s that time of year when I review the year, giving you the highlight reel of the blog and my life. And of what a year 2018 was!
It started off with Mr. FFB having his second neck surgery to repair degenerated discs. He feels much better now. I had my first speaking event. We attended our second annual Cattlemen’s Convention and stayed in our first Airbnb.
I traveled to Denver, Chicago, and DC on the Young Cattlemen’s Conference trip. I got to meet writing friends I’d only known online in real life at the first annual Her View from Home(stock). We started working with a private label company to help us keep up with the demand for Tom’s Steak Rub. And I traveled to Vermont to speak about beef.
All the kids are in school this year and are loving it. I had my wisdom teeth and uterus out. I traveled to Nashville with My Sheila for Christy Wright’s Business Boutique, which was a no joke life/business changing event. While there, we made a stop at The Blue Bird Cafe.
That trip got me excited for what’s to come in 2019 and the future of FFB. But for now, let’s take a look back and reflect on…
The Best of FFB 2018
On the Blog
Coming in at first and second most viewed posts of the year respectively were…
On Instagram
This image showing the miracle of birth was by far and away the most engaging post to grace my feed this year.
On Facebook
At a point in my blogging/sharing our lives on the internet journey when I was doubting big time if it was worth it, I posted this prayer.
And I prayed.
I prayed for God to give me a sign if I should continue down this path I’m on. I prayed, posted it, and walked away for the evening. And in the morning, I saw that the prayer had resonated with so many mamas. Not only was this prayer the most engaging post of 2018 it was the most engaging post of ever for FFB on FB.
Needless to say, I took it as a sign that I was on the right path and to keep making my way.
That’s a Wrap
Don’t let this highlight reel fool you – 2018 had it’s downs too. But all-in-all, it was truly a memorable year full of blessings that are hard to overlook, so I won’t.
I’m so looking forward to what 2019 holds and wishing you and yours the happiest of New Years!
