Description

A delicious way to sneak vegetables into a protein packed breakfast!

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound pork sausage

1 pound ground beef

1 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup finely chopped celery

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

2 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 cup shredded cheddar

Instructions

Grab a large bowl and toss in the the pork sausage, ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, salt, pepper, celery, and onion. Get in there with your hands and mix it all up. Don’t be afraid to get your hands meaty!

Pour your flour and baking powder into a small bowl and whisk them together. Once that’s all mixed up,Β  add it and the cheese to the meat mixture. Again, don’t be afraid to get your hands meaty – mix well.

Form the mixture into 1 inch balls, placing them on a baking sheet roughly an inch apart. Slide that sausage balled baking sheet into a 375 degree pre-heated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sausage balls reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees.

Take the sausage balls out of the oven and serve with a dash of your favorite hot sauce. Enjoy!

Notes

You can sub in our homemade ground beef sausage for the ground beef and dry herbs and spices. It’s basically the same thing. πŸ˜‰Β
