Description

A quick + easy dinner idea or a simple yet delicious way to use up leftover chili.

Ingredients

  • Leftover Chili Soup, or Hormel Chili with Beans
  • Corn chips (we like Fritos)
  • Shredded cheese
  • Sour cream

Optional Toppings

  • Salsa
  • Hot sauce
  • Cilantro
  • Jalapenos

Instructions

In a saucepan over medium-high heat, reheat the leftover chili or heat the Hormel chili and bring it to a simmer. Reduce the heat and let simmer until it reaches a temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

To assemble, place a handful of chips in a bowl. Spoon the chili (leftover or Hormel) over the chips and top with shredded cheese, sour cream, and any additional toppings you love. Enjoy!

Notes

To be on the (food) safe side, ALWAYS reheat foods like chili that contain beef to a temperature of 165 Fahrenheit.

When I say “spoon” what I actually mean is serve it like a gravy instead of a soup. 😉
